No More Pretending
It’s over.
RNC considers selling TV rights of presidential primary debates
I mean, this is pretty directly selling the political process to the corporate media, right? Am I missing something?

Tea v. Union
I’ve been examinig the differences between the Tea Party protests* and the Wisconsin-style Union protests in order boil them down to their as-accurate-as-possible essence.
*(Giving respect the individuals of Tea Partiers, with whom I may disagree, but who I do not think, on an individual non-leader basis, are cold-hearted or evil)
As best I can tell…
The Tea Party is protesting the health care law – wherein Democrats are forcing them to have health care benefits.
Unions are protesting the end of collective bargain – wherein Republicans are forcibly taking away their future benefits.
One is against getting benefits, the other is against having them taken away.
One party wants to give benefits, the other wants to take them away.
Okay. That’s basically the difference. Right?
(I’ll make it funny later… maybe compare it to the jock who hates social studies v. the musician who wants to keep her little brother… we’ll see)
So, anyway, with whom would you stand?

I’ll be honest, we have no idea what this show is or will become, but we plan to have fun finding out. I hope you’ll join us and provide feedback and suggestions.
Here’s a Facebook page to start the discussion.

Secret Government Plot To Get Smooched
Wear this on St. Patrick’s Day:
Seriously, this is how it works: Wear it nonchalantly. “Oh this, I forgot I even put it on.” Don’t make a big deal about it, but be sure it can be seen. No beer cups or beads blocking the view. You’ll hear people repeat the phrase, perhaps laughing. Play it cool. Slide over calmly – don’t rush! don’t be needy! – tap your cheek with a finger, look the other way (because, whatever, you don’t care). Receive kiss. Move on.
You’re welcome.
